Course Details: Date - 15th May 2011
This day is designed specifically to assist you sharpen your interview skills technique. On this day we shall aim to cover the broad areas tested in the exams-
- Interviewing a relative or informant
- Discussing diagnosis and/or management
- Exploring psychopathology
- Risk assessment
These topics have been chosen because the exam results show that candidates repeatedly perform poorly in these areas. We aim to work in small groups (no more than 5 per tutor) reviewing the feedback on the previous day's performance and using a coaching approach to help the candidates improve and develop their skills.
Format: 4 X 1.5 hour sessions, two groups run in parallel with the tutors, and swap tutors after lunch.
